The results are in!

From the lowest point at the beginning of the month of March to the highest point at the beginning of April, i am now gainfully employed by a large A little e firm in Philadelphia.  I’ll be doing site civil as i always have, but they have also recruited me to help with civil IT applications as well as fill in as needed with the structural department doing the same sort of things….  If that was rambling, that’s because I’m delirious after so much uncertainty.

Oh, in case some may be wondering, I chose option 2 from the previous post.

To those that either reached out to help or offered some side work, thanks. It wasn’t a fun month but those conversations were very, very helpful. Thanks again! Like i said before, I will continue the blog, but the future certainly holds a different set of nutrients to feed the blog’s hunger.

To those looking for employment, dont give up hope. Definitely look at opportunities that aren’t typical. Most of my interviews and connections made were with firms I wouldn’t have remotely considered had it not been for such a bleak economy. My background is general site civil work. So those atypical firms were homeland security firms, environmental firms – along those lines.

OK, must take kids outside today. It is indeed a beautiful day in many ways!
