Do you use Excel and wish you could get those nice tables into Civil 3D?

Wow, I really need to work on my titles.  Anyway, There are often times that we build tables in excel that we need to display in a sheet somewhere.  They might be pipe schedules we have synced via landxml from a hydraulic program or they might be quantity tabulations for a DOT project. I’m sure you can think of more than these 2 exmaples, but that’s all that comes to mind at this early hour (11pm).  🙂

There are 2 third party developers out there that are pretty good at bringing in the spreadsheet with as little or as much formatting as you want.  And, depending on the version and options, the table in AutoCAD can be linked to the Excel spreadsheet.  So any revisions get updated in the table!

And for a special treat, Cadig also has a free toolbar to help you create & edit those table objects for data that’s within Civil 3D.  But you’re thinking, there must be a table toolbar that came with AutoCAD. Nope, didn’t happen.  And for some reason, Cadig is giving it away.

Enjoy!
